No news today--thank goodness. Sorry to disappoint, but I am kind of ready for a day without some trauma!!

Have a great weekend.

Not much happening, thank goodness!! There was one incident last night. Mama got up about 2:00 A.M. and went to the door as usual since she "heard" someone out there. I didn't even say anything; I just stayed in bed pretending to sleep. I heard the front door squeak open--which is a normal occurrence now.

Then I heard Mama say in a surprised voice, "Oh, I didn't know you were there. It is so good to see you."

I flew out of bed and was halfway down the hall when she said; "I'm going to bed now. Good night." and closed the door.

I figured out she was talking to the dog. When my heartbeat slowed back to normal, I was able to go back to sleep. She didn't get up anymore, thank goodness.

Hugs,

Mama behaved herself yesterday AND she slept all night! Oh joy! Oh Joy!

So I will relate something that happened a few days ago. I was sitting at my computer (imagine that!) and the telephone rang. Mama did not know I answered it so she picked up, too. I discovered it was a telemarketer and hung up. Mama decided to chat with him. She told him how she has a lady that stays with her and she gets her thing out and puts it up there and gets it hot and she likes it. (Translation: Penny eats the food Mama fixes for her. Mama puts it on a plate (sometimes at 4 in the morning)and heats it in the microwave. Penny has gotten real good at dumping it when Mama isn't looking--something I learned to do before I just couldn't handle ONE more meal of meat, rice, green beans, orange salad, & moldy rolls) Then she told him that when her husband died, her daughter, who used to live way down there, had come to live with her and she was glad.

She would pause periodically to call me to the phone and then go off on another subject. I finally went in to check on the poor guy, but he had already hung up. Mama was telling her stories to the recording about the phone being off the hook with the noise piping in between announcements. She introduced me to the "caller" and handed me the phone. I said something incomprehensible and hung up. She was furious with me. Think I will hand her the phone every time a telemarketer calls.

Well, those who wanted a "Mama Story" will be happy today. Mama went to bed around 9:00 last night. I was up for a little longer doing a few things. She got up twice before I even got into bed because she "thought she heard somebody outside." She was up at 11:15, 12:30, 1:10, 2-something, 3-something. At 4:15 she was banging around in the kitchen. I got up to see what in the world she could be doing. She grinned and cheerfully babbled; "I am fixing plates for the lady and me to eat." Through gritted teeth, I barked, "It is four o'clock in the morning, it is NOT time to fix plates for lunch! GO BACK TO BED!" (my class is working on synonyms for said, can you tell?)

She demanded, "YOU go back to bed." We growled back and forth until I finally got her out of the kitchen and back into bed. She slept until 7:00 this morning.

Every time she headed back to bed she would say, "I love you. I hope you sleep good." The first few times I would mutter, "I would sleep IF you would sleep." By four o'clock I was saying it with a bit more force in a MUCH louder voice, adding to that, “NOW GO TO BED AND STAY THERE!”

I am dragging a bit today. I do have a lesson dealing with cookies for the kids for our first half of class. The second half is to be spent in the library typing up stories they have already written so we can edit them and make them better.

Until next time, Hugs to all.

Know everyone is ready for a new Mama story. Thank goodness there isn't anything too out of the ordinary to report--which I guess is fairly out of the ordinary in itself. She did surprise several people at Golden Corral with a hug and a kiss on the cheek, but that is becoming normal, too. Am sure she will come up with a doozy before the end of the week.
