I have had Mama all to myself from around 5:30 Saturday afternoon to 10:00 Sunday night. She did pretty Saturday night. And we even made it to church on time Sunday. It was really nice to see everyone. It took Mama a little while to realize what was happening. She picked up the hymnal and started leafing through it like she does magazines, catalogs, and books here at the house. I gave her money for the offering, but she didn't seem to understand what to do with it at first. I wrote her name on the envelope, and folded the money--that is when she remembered what she was supposed to do. I will definitely try harder to get her to church each week. I don't want her to forget about the service. That would be just too sad since church has always been such a big part of her life.
She ran between her bedroom and the dining room all day Sunday. I did get her to sit in the living room a couple of times, but she didn't want to stay very long. I am exhausted from trying to keep plates fixed for her to heat up.
David and maybe Tara are coming Wednesday so I can go visit friends. I plan to go to Corpus for a few days.
Hugs to all,
Mama
