Dear All,

Mama slept last night, got up around 7:30 AM, had 3 meals by 10:00 AM, and she has been in bed for about an hour (it is 11:25 AM) She has already made three or four trips in to see if someone is here for her cookies. I don't really think she is sleeping too deeply, if at all!

She was up long enough for me to change her sheets. Will work on getting her in the tub sometime today. If not then maybe Beverly and Penny will be able to tag team her and get her clean a couple of times this week.

I talked to Penny on Thursday about getting here earlier. She said it was impossible, so maybe the other lady should come in the mornings. Of course, that would help me in the morning, but it wouldn't change anything in the evening. Am not sure which is more important. I guess we can discuss it on Monday (if Penny is still here when I get home!)

Need to go wash some clothes, etc. I just ordered some new dresses, slips, and robes for Mama. She has lost so much weight her others are just hanging on her. I tried to find the kind with buttons all the way down, but wasn't successful. I am going to order one from "The Wishing Well" that was created by Dawn Wells, Mary Ann on Gilligan's Island, with her mother in mind. There aren't too many stylish things available for easy on and off. Most of them are UGLY, and Mama is kind of picky about the style she wears! Will see how this works out.

I am going to add on a part-time helper starting on Monday. Michelle's aunt Beverly will sit with Mama from 3:00 to 7ish Monday through Friday. This will give her 20 hours each week and give me time to do a few things after school without having to feel guilty about holding Penny up. I told Michelle that if all goes well, maybe she could pick up a few more hours on the weekends if she want to.

I am hoping Penny will be able to come by 7:15 each morning as I should be getting to work about the time I am leaving the house. Will have a chat with her this evening. Will keep you posted on how this works out.
