I had a nice visit with friends in Corpus last weekend. It was really nice to get away.

Mama stayed in bed most of yesterday. Around 6:00 last night, she was up and raring to go somewhere. She kept saying, "Let's go to that thing." She missed church the past two Sundays so maybe she wanted to go there. The problem was that no one was there. So I took her to town to Eckerd's to pick up some medicine. She was really wobbly on her feet, but we made it to the back of the store. She sat down next to a man and entertained him with her stories, or whatever. I got my meds and then guided her out to the car. She wanted to get into someone else's vehicle so it was a bit of a challenge to steer her to her car. We headed home, and she got out plates for both of us.

Mama has lost so much weight that we are all becoming worried about her. Last night I held the spoon and fed her ice cream and peaches so she would have something in her stomach. She keeps fixing plate after plate after plate, but she only eats a few bites and then puts it in the fridge for next time. However, she insists that the rest of us eat every bite she puts before us.

Well my planning time is over and my group of challenge students are here--I call them that because they challenge my patience every moment they are with me!!!!!

Until next time...............
