Dear All,

Since my Mama-sitters were so good when I took my trips, I decided to give them each a paid 8 hour day off. Michelle took hers last Sunday night. Beverly took hers Monday evening and Tuesday morning. Penny took hers yesterday. Beverly had made plans to go away for the weekend before she knew Penny was taking off so she took off last night. Sunday is usually my shift anyway so Mama and I have been the only two in our house since 9:45 yesterday (Saturday) morning.

Michelle was going to help out on Saturday, but a family member had twins last week and one is in Houston with an underdeveloped lung. Michelle is keeping the healthier one so she couldn't do the twin and Mama.
Mama has been down and up and down and up and down and up--well, I'm sure you get the picture! Every time I decide she is going to sleep for a while and lie down, her radar alerts her, and she wakes up and starts the cycles all over again and again and again.

I was a little worried, but we made it to church this morning without too much trauma. I really wanted to go since family members of Mama's long-time friend, Mae Allen, were there to honor her with a memorial to the church of new offering plates and paraments (in case anyone is wondering what these are, here is a definition: The ornamental hanging or vestment found on the alter and pulpit. They match the color which represents the season of the church year.) It was really nice to see so many of her family members. I just wish we could have visited a bit more, but Mama made a bee-line for the door right after the service. Penny offered to watch Mama after church, but I decided to bring her on home since we are having so much fun together!!

I just really, really, really, really, really hope that Michelle is able to work tonight! Everyone at church was asking me if I am ready for school to start. After all these hours with Mama, my answer was a resounding, "Yes!"

My puppies are growing hourly, it seems. They are so funny to watch. They are still trying to determine which one is the toughest. They actually take turns being the bully. Huzza Huzza is heavier, and Blackberry is able to jump high enough to get up on chairs and the couch. So HH usually wins the ground war, but Blackberry torments from on high. Then they team up and go after the cat. She either jumps up on one of the cars, or whaps them on the nose.

We don't have many dull moments around here!! Feel free to drop in and join in the fun--any time is fine--of course, I may run out the door and leave you to enjoy it all by yourself......

Need to go see what Mama is doing. She just heated a plate, ate one bite of each item on her plate, closed it up, put it back in the fridge, and is probably now back in bed waiting up to six minutes before she starts the process all over again. I try to get her to sit in the living room with me, but she dodges past and runs to her room. I guess she has had enough of me and is just as ready for Michelle or anyone to show up as I am!!!!

Hugs,
